Laura Bell Moore was born on May 20, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Alfred and Lavinia Kittrell. With a vibrant personality and a heart full of love, Laura brought joy to everyone around her. She received her early education through the Detroit Public Schools system and proudly graduated from Northwestern High School, home of the Colts. Laura continued her education at Wayne State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree. Laura dedicated 50 years of service to the federal government, a testament to her strong work ethic and commitment. She retired in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and dedication. Outside of her career, Laura found joy in dancing, playing bingo, and spending cherished moments with her family. Her warm laughter, kind spirit, and zest for life touched the hearts of all who knew her. On Monday, August 18, 2025, Laura peacefully entered eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Raymond Moore, Sr.; daughter, Latrice Moore; grandson, Ramon Moore; parents, Alfred and Lavinia; and siblings Betty, Thelma, Martha, Alfred, and Carl. She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy her devoted son, Raymond Moore, Jr.; grandsons, Kingston Moore and Miguel Moore, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Laura will be remembered most for her infectious laughter, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family. Her beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
