Laura Powierza Obituary
She was born in Erie on June 23, 1962 a daughter of the late Ronald Snider and Joanne Owens.
Laura was a graduate of Fort LeBoeuf High School and went on to work for the Downtown YMCA for over 20 years as a Finance Director.
She enjoyed bowling, dancing, vacationing in Florida and hosting parties. She especially loved attending her children's sporting events.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Ryan Powierza and a brother, Nick Snider.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Rich Powierza; two children, Jack and John Powierza; a brother, Ron Snider (Yvonne); father and mother in law, Richard and Rose Powierza; step-father, Les Owens; brother-in-law, Randy Powierza (Jenn) and a sister-in-law, Becky Powierza. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m and are invited to attend a service there on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
