After an incredibly courageous fight Lauranna Parrett passed away in the early hours of Saturday, February 4, at the age of 84. Tough as nails to the end, Lauranna was surrounded by so much family and love. Born and raised in Astoria, Queens, Lauranna graduated from Queens college with a degree in French Language. She dedicated her life to raising her 5 children- Jeff, Terry, Craig, Alexandra, and Nicole- on her own. She later was employed by Met Life as an Insurance Underwriter for many years and finished her work years at Catholic Health Services. An adored grandmother to 8 – Christina, Lizzy, Christopher, Katie, Kellianne, Jake, Emily, and Julianna- she loved spending time with her ever growing family. Lauranna was a beloved mother in law to Jennifer, Debbie, Barbara, and Todd.
