Laurence "Larry" Eugene Crofoot was born on September 8, 1953, in Portland, Oregon to LaDonna Gibson. For most of his entire life he would live in Mill City, Oregon where he graduated from Santiam High School in 1971. After high school he would attend Linn Benton Community College and receive an automotive degree. He would end up working in the Timber industry for outfits like Young and Morgan, Freres Lumber and Fort Mill Lumber. He would also work in the truck driving industry and would work for Highway Fuel in addition to many smaller family-owned companies. In retirement, Larry would still work for a bee farmer and transport millions of bees to California for the almond crops. Besides work, the best job Larry had in life was being a dad to his 3 children: Adam, Larry and Trista. When the kids were younger, he would coach their little league games and later in life, many of the kids he coached would remember him. Larry's best days were probably spent outdoors hunting anything he could get a tag for, fishing the sturgeon or salmon on the Columbia and camping just about anywhere. He also would go off roading and for a time enjoyed the car racing at the Lebanon track. Larry was outgoing and could hold a conversation with just about anyone. On May 21, 2022, Larry passed away at age 68 in Mill City, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his mother, LaDonna and brother, Lee Roberts. He is survived by his children, Adam (Renee) Crofoot, Laurence R. (Megan) Crofoot, Trista (Evan) Pozniakoff; grandchildren, Kirsten Crofoot, Kellen Crofoot, Colton Crofoot, Zack Crofoot and Arrow Pozniakoff.
