Laurie A. (Michael) Parker, 57, of Scranton, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Geisinger Danville.
Born in Scranton on December 28, 1967, she was a daughter of William H. Dixon and Kathryn (Michael) Simmons.
Laurie was an advocate for stray cats, making it her mission to provide veterinary care and find loving homes, and adopting a few of them herself.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving daughter, Terra Jefferson; grandchildren, Tahrel Jefferson and Tea Tomlinson; brothers, Eric Skelton (Christina), Tyler Dixon (Amanda) and Timmy Lasher; sister, Simone Lochtkaemper (Christoph); cousins, Kevin Evanski, Greg Evanski, Joey Evanski and Will Michael and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services are private for her family.
