Lavell Givens was born August 28, 1953, to the late Frank Givens, Sr. and Doris Givens in Monroe, Louisiana. He passed away September 28, 2024, after a brief illness.
Lavell was a graduate of Carroll High School and later joined the United States Army. He worked for many years at St. Francis Medical Center until his retirement as an Anesthesia Tech where he was loved by so many.
Lavell is preceded in death by his parents: Frank Givens Sr. and Doris Givens; sister, Doris Annette Givens; brother, Ronald Givens; and nephew, Frank Givens lll.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Tralynda Givens, Lavell Givens Jr., Jermaine Jackson and TraRay Givens all of Monroe, Louisiana; his sisters; Linda Edwards and Sheila Ross; brothers, Frank Givens Jr. and Michael Givens, Sr; bonus son, James Jackson; 14 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Graveside Services will be 1:00PM Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, Louisiana, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, Louisiana.
He will always be New Orleans Saints #1 fan!!!
