Lawrence B. "Larry" Gregoire, Jr. passed away on February 3, 2025 after a brief illness with his loving family by his side. Larry was born to Lawrence Sr. and Phyllis Gregoire on September 15, 1957, in Saint Albans, Vermont.
The oldest of five children, Larry graduated from Colchester High School in 1976, served four years in the US Army, and at one point, owned and operated a maple sugaring operation with his father in Richford (Rocky Ridge). For the past 18 years, Larry was employed at Perrigo Nutritionals in Georgia, Vermont.
Larry married the love of his life, Lori, on New Year's Eve 1985. Together, they purchased a home in Fletcher and raised Lori's son Matt, whom Larry considered his own. There was also a big place in Larry's heart for Matt's cousins Tom Darul and Amy Bachinski.
Mild-mannered and soft-spoken, Larry enjoyed the simple things in life: his family and cats, being outdoors in nature, listening to his favorite radio station, WBLM 102.9 out of Portland Maine, family vacations to the Maine coastline, and fishing and hunting, especially deer hunting with his brothers at their deer camp in Maine.
Larry is survived by his cherished wife of 39 years, Lori Gregoire; his father Lawrence Gregoire, Sr., stepson, Matt Barnes; siblings Nancy Holmes and her husband, Jay; Mark Gregoire and his wife, Darlene; Michael Gregoire and his wife, Cecilia; and Sharon Cianci; sister-in-law Melody Kimball; and mother-in-law Geraldine Yandow. Larry also leaves behind former brother-in-law Brian Cianci and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother Phyllis Gregoire and grandparents Doris and Everett Atherton, Sr. and Mary and Albany Gregoire, Sr.
To honor Larry's wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no wake or funeral services. His ashes will be scattered in the deep hunting woods of Maine and at Lake Willoughby in Vermont. Larry's name will be inscribed on a memorial gravestone in the family plot at Saint John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg Falls.
