Lawrence "Larry" Moser passed away peacefully in Hospice care on Monday, June 9 th
2025 at the age of 84.
Larry is survived by his sister Wanda West and her husband, Danny West; children
Gary Moser and Lori Moser Artale; Daughter-in-law Charity Moser; Son-in-law Michael
Artale; Grandchildren Ariella Pilato-Moser; Thomas Totten, Emma Totten, Connor
Totten, Garrett Moser; Great-granddaughter Sofia Rose Pilato-Moser; as well as several
nieces and nephews.
Larry was born in Covington, Kentucky and moved to St. Petersburg with his family in
1950. He graduated from Boca Ciega High School and went on to graduate from USF
and serve in the US Army. He married the love of his life, Johnna Barker-Moser in
December of 1966 and settled down to raise his family in the city that he loved. His
passion for education and athletics eventually led him to a successful career working for
the City of St. Petersburg as the Fiscal Manager for Leisure Services. He retired in 2005
leaving him time for the things he truly loved like golfing, grilling, and spending time with
his grandchildren. Throughout his life he was an active member in the community
serving on several boards, giving his time as a volunteer tutoring elementary school
children, and coaching little league baseball at Fossil Park. He will be deeply missed by
his family, friends and all who knew him.
A celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 28 th at 4:00 PM at DeGusipe
Funeral Home (Formerly R. Lee Williams & Son) 3530 49 th Street N, St. Petersburg, FL
