Lawrence Allen Raphael, age 81, of Dardenne Praire, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Dardenne Praire, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 13, 1942 to Sam and Celia Raphael (nee Feigenbaum). He was married to Carolyn Raphael for 57 years.
Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was an avid sports enthusiast, coach, and athlete. A long-time employee of TWA, Larry had many friends from work with whom he still enjoyed monthly breakfast. He was very social and loved a good conversation. He enjoyed listening to John Denver and would always play his music while driving his grandkids around. He was a big fan of cars; he was particular about the cars he drove and loved going to the yearly car show. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army. His kindness will be greatly missed by many.
Larry is survived by his Wife, Carolyn Raphael; Two Daughters, Tracy (Steve) Wichern, Mary (Bill) Alexander; Son, Shawn Raphael; Five Grandchildren, Bryce Raphael, Savannah Raphael, Jarrett Alexander, Joseph Alexander, Carly Alexander; Brother, Robert (Marilyn) Raphael; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Sam Raphael; and Mother, Celia Raphael.
Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Peters Chapel. Interment to follow Funeral Ceremony at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
