Obituary For Lea Elizabeth Mitchell
Lea Elizabeth Mitchell, 58 of Bowie, TX went home to be with the Lord on February 12th, 2024 in Decatur, TX.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17th, at the Bowie First Methodist Church, with Pastor Steve Martinez officiating.
Lea was born on the 4th of July, 1965 to Eugene Thomas Jones and Tessie Corine West in Vernon, TX. She graduated from Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls, TX. Lea married Gary Mitchell on March 21st,1988, together they had 3 children. Lea worked as a caregiver for most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her birth mother Tessie, father Eugene Jones, brother Grady Jones, sister Ruthann Jones, her mother Betty Blythe, and two grandsons Christopher Bolf and Gary Bolf.
Lea Mitchell is survived by her husband, Gary Mitchell; sister, Cindy Jones and husband Ronnie; son, Tommy Mitchell; daughter, Cherisa Dishman and husband Justin; daughter, Cynthia Jones; grandchildren, Miracle Bolf, Ecko Page, and Tristen Mitchell and spouse Aiyana Scott; niece, Marissa Beard and husband Colton; nephew, Roger Jones and wife Tuyet; and numerous other grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
