LeAnn Rae Olson, 87, of Boone, Iowa, passed away at the Boone County Hospital on Thursday, April 24, 2025. She was born on April 23, 1938, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Josephine (Phillips) Seibert. LeAnn graduated from Boxholm High School in May of 1956. On February 16, 1957, she married Robert Olson at the Boxholm Lutheran Church.
LeAnn worked at Quinn Machinery as a secretary for over 30 years. After retiring, she worked part-time for Montag Chiropractic. She always enjoyed when family and friends would stop by to visit. Her pride and joy were her grandkids. She loved spending time with them and attending sporting events and activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Olson; sister, Jane Bruggeman; and parents, Harry and Josephine Siebert.
LeAnn is survived by her sons, Tim Olson and Mike Olson, both of Boone, IA; grandchildren: Kari (Brock) Rouse of Clear Lake, IA, Cassie Olson of Ames, IA, Jada Olson of Ogden, IA, Jessilee Olson of Iowa City IA, and Aaron Olson of Boone, IA; great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Ava, Kyan, and Kylee; and brother, Larry (Patty) Siebert of West Side, IA.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home, with Pastor Robin Coughennower officiating. Interment will be at Linwood Park Cemetery at a later date. Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Boone County Hospital.
