Ledtkey Ronnie McIntosh Jr. was born on October 15, 1967, in Claremore, Oklahoma, and passed away on March 17, 2024, in Norman, Oklahoma. He attended Life Church. Ron was proud of his heritage as a member of the Muskogee (Creek) Nation.
Having graduated from White Deer High School in Texas in 1986, Ron went on to serve his country in the United States Army during the time of Desert Storm. After his military service, he pursued his education, earning a BS & master's degrees from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center studying dietetics.
A passionate weightlifter, Ron also found joy in his role as an umpire and sports, particularly for the University of Oklahoma, Miami Dolphins and Texas Rangers. He was also passionate in promoting mental health awareness. He loved music of all genres.
In his professional life, Ron dedicated his time to educating and helping others. He worked for many years with Native Americans as a diabetic educator. At the time of his passing he worked as a permanent substitute teacher at Classen School of Advanced Studies High School in Oklahoma City. After umping little league baseball for many years, Ron was promoted to Umpire in Chief for the Norman Optimist League. In this role, Ron truly enjoyed teaching young men how to become good umpires.
He leaves behind his wife Melissa of Moore, Oklahoma; parents Ledtkey and Beverly McIntosh of Norman, Oklahoma; his children, Ledtkey Ronnie McIntosh III (Trey), Krystal Lyons and son-in-law Adam Brennan, and Tafa McIntosh; his siblings, Travis McIntosh, Matthew McIntosh, and Nicole Harjo; his beloved grandson, Fletcher Brennan, 12 nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Uncle Ron, 2 aunts, one uncle, and more cousins than can be counted.
Ron was highly intelligent and had immense curiosity. If you became his friend, you could count on that friendship lasting a lifetime. Today, he leaves behind a close-knit family and a wide diversity of friends.
