Lendell Doyan "LD" Davidson, 75, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on August 3, 2025. He was born on June 2, 1950, in Piggot, Arkansas, to Cleo and Odessia M. Burkheart Davidson.
A true jack-of-all-trades, LD was known for his incredible work ethic and his commitment to service. He proudly retired as a paramedic supervisor from the Shreveport Fire Department, where he also served on the dive team. After his retirement, he continued his dedication to his community as a commissioner for Caddo Fire District 1. His professional life was marked by his diverse experiences, including his time as a pit boss at the Isle of Capri Casino, a carpet installer, a bartender, a plumber, and a manager at a Dollar General. He even owned a snow cone stand and, at one point, was an extra in a movie.
LD's life was defined by his generous spirit and his desire to help others. He was a resilient man of great integrity, admired for his leadership qualities and his compassionate nature. He never said no to someone in need and was always ready to serve others.
When he wasn't working, LD loved to live life to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything on the water. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
LD is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving family, including Jeffery Davidson, Stacie Goldman, Lester Davidson, Butch Davidson, Mary Faye Shiver, and Raina Hinkle, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
