St. Martinville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at St. Martin de Tours for Leo "Boo" Duhon Jr. (born April 28, 1965) passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 surrounded by his beloved family at the age of 60.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 8:00 AM until the funeral at 1:00 PM.
A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM.
Rev. John Dugas will officiate the funeral mass, with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Readers will be Alison Bonin and Kyle Menard.
A native and life-long resident of St. Martinville, he was deeply loved and will be terribly missed by family, friends, and many St. Martinville residents. Boo loved his work as a delivery and floral assistant at Glenn's Flower Box, arranging flowers with his best friend, Glenn and delivering countless arrangements, some with Monica and others by foot, all across town. He cared deeply for his community, working closely with nearby churches and funeral homes alike. He never met a stranger and loved to make new friends. He always enjoyed his birthday, the holidays, and vacations on the beach with his family.
He is survived by his sisters, Roberta Courville and her husband Randall of St. Martinville, Liz Belaire of Loreauville, and Cindy Menard and her husband Karl of Lafayette; his nieces and nephews, Jason Courville, Jennifer (Brady) Robichaux, Jill (Dane) Borne, Allison (Lon) Bonin, Danielle Belaire, Bart (Megan) Belaire, Kyle (Caitlin) Menard, Megan (Seth) Broussard; his grand-nieces and -nephews, Jax, Jet, Brittney (Nick), Cruz, Sophie, Brooklyn, Bentley, Beckham, Bailen, Andi, Carson, Isabella, Kohen, Krew, Mailey, Maverick, Samuel; his dog, Sammy, and countless other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Myrtle Duhon, and grand-nephew Carter Robichaux.
Pallbearers will be Jason Courville, Bart Belaire, Dane Borne, Brady Robichaux, Nicholas Bienvenu, and Glenn Hebert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Courville, Cruz Robichaux, Bentley Borne, Beckham Borne, Jet Courville, Kyle Menard, and Lon Bonin.
The family would also like to extend deep and heartfelt gratitude towards Nicholas Bienvenu for his medical knowledge and assistance.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
