Leona S. Winchell

Leona Sue Winchell, age 64, of Twining, MI., passed away at her home on October 30, 2025. She was born on December 26, 1960, in Bay City, MI., to the late Lesley Morley and Marion (Erwin) Anderson.
Leona was always working hard at the occupations she enjoyed but spent most of her years working for Monitor Sugar in Bay City. She, and the love of her life, William "Bill" Winchell, built a home in Twining and retired there. Leona and Bill were together since 1985 and had 40 years together sharing their favorite hobbies, like riding Harley's, fishing, hunting, tending her flower beds, and spending as much time as possible outdoors. Leona was a great cook and enjoyed making meals for her family. She also liked babysitting for their neighbors and attending Good News Church.
Leona is survived by her husband, Bill; son, Scotty Winchell; grandchildren, Jeremy and Destiny Winchell, and a niece, but like a daughter, Vivian Lovell; sisters, Rosemary Anderson, Mary Jo Sheldon; brothers, Harvey Morley, Les Morley, Joey Anderson, and many stepbrothers and stepsisters, along with many nieces and nephews.
Leona is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Jim Morley.
Family will hold services for Leona on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Buresh Funeral Home in Twining. Visitation from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Funeral at 12:00pm followed by interment at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Twining.
