Leonard Warnock

Leonard "Len" Warnock, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his longtime Plain Township home on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 81, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Len's life was defined by his family and the home he cared for so diligently. He poured countless hours into restoring his cherished 1970 Chevelle, proudly sharing it at car shows throughout the region, and never passed up the chance to take a long drive to see other classic cars.
At home, he took great pride in keeping his yard just right and often was on his tractor or in the garden making sure every detail was perfect. He enjoyed sitting in his favorite chair on the sunroom porch where he could look out over the home he loved and watch the hummingbirds. If he wasn't outside, he could be found in the basement working on his jigsaw puzzles. He often had a Pepsi or Diet Dr. Pepper in hand, either to drink or to add to his large collection of Pepsi memorabilia.
To his family, Len will always be remembered for his steady presence and his playful humor.
Born September 13, 1943, to the late Clarence and Bertha Warnock, Len grew up in Louisville and graduated from Louisville High School in 1961. Not long after, he met Diane, the love of his life. They were married on June 6, 1964, beginning a 61-year journey filled with devotion and countless memories. Len built his career at The Timken Company, where he dedicated 38 years before retiring in 2001.
Len leaves behind his loving wife Diane; his four children, Steve of Columbia Station, Mark of Plain Township, Bob (Stacy) of Murphy, N.C., and Darla (Scott) Brown of Plain Township; his sister, Irene of Plain Township; and four grandchildren who brought him endless pride – Matthew, Alex, Zach, and Maya.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Charles, and his sister, Ruth.
Services 11:00 am Wednesday August 27 at Reed Funeral Home, 705 Raff Rd. SW, Canton, OH 44710, where visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday and 10 a.m. until service Wednesday. Burial will be at Warstler Cemetery in Plain Township. Online Guest Book at reedfuneralhome.com.
