LeRoy Dean Shults was born October 17, 1956, in Udine, Italy to Bill and Claudia (Blazevich) Shults. He passed away at Duncan Regional Hospital on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the age of 68.
The family will receive visitors at Whitt Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 16 at the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Rock Creek Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Yarbrough, Crusty Harkins, Bobby Sager, Bryan Bradburry, Shaune George, and Colton Berry.
LeRoy graduated from Duncan High School in 1974. He attended Great Plains Technology center and worked as a journeyman electrician. On December 11, 1976, he married the love of his life, Vickie George in Tyler, Texas. LeRoy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. He loved having get togethers with friends and family where he was always the comedian making everyone laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robbie, LeRoy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vickie; children: Chris White of Cancun, Mexico, Deana Thompson and husband Nathan of Oklahoma City, Mandi Berry and husband Kevyn of Duncan; grandchildren: Clayton Berry and wife Michaela Taylor, Payton McBane, Christian Thompson, Colton Berry; and great-granddaughter, Eleanor Berry. Other survivors include sisters: Linda Shults, Cindy Bradburry; sister-in-law, Lori Shults; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
