Leslie H. "Les" Hubin, 103, of Moundridge, KS, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Pine Village. He was born on February 27, 1921 in Hanston, Kansas, to Henry and Matilda (Ewy) Hubin.
He graduated from Moundridge High School.
Les was an active member of the Garden Community Church, rural Moundridge.
He was united in marriage to Helen M. Schrag on April 25, 1946 in Moundridge. She preceded him in death on September 10, 2013.
Les was a grain farmer and later worked with poultry, caring for 20,000 chickens. He was also a finish woodworker.
He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Stroud Cooper (Duane Cooper) of Abilene, and Emily (Ron) Sundquist of Moundridge; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Les was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Roger Lynn Hubin; son-in-law, Fred Stroud; and sister, Martha Hiebert.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Garden Community Church Cemetery, with memorial services to follow in the church at 4 p.m. Services will be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/@gardencommunitychurch. Family will greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 23, at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Village or Garden Community Church Missions Fund in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
