Letha Simpson Phelps, 92, a homemaker, died May 12, 2025, at home. Funeral services are 11:00am Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Crenshaw Methodist Church in Crenshaw, MS with burial in the Marks Cemetery in Marks, MS. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughters Debbie (Butch) Scipper of Marks, MS, Karen Stephenson of Tulsa, OK, Leigh (Joe) Graves of Tunica, MS, Amy Phelps of Aylett, VA; brothers Wilford Simpson of Dewitt, AR, Russell Simpson of Dewitt, AR; grandchildren Emily (Lee) Anderson, Layton (Alexis) Scipper, Cameron (Ray) Sosebee, Anna (Matt) Watson, Corinne (James) Wise, Kat (Alec) Richards, Chaz (Meredith) Stephenson, Barlett (Mary Ashton) Graves, Jake (Kayne) Graves, Ellen (J.C.) Clements; thirteen great-grandchildren; three special carelovers Diane Clay, Lois McGloson, Mary Walters.
Preceded in death by her husband Layton Phelps; parents Roy Simpson & Gaynell Gill Simpson Callahan; brothers Jasper Simpson, Leland Simpson, O.W. Simpson, Harold Simpson, Wince Simpson.
