Lianne Daniele Edborg, 55, of 1979 Southwestern Drive, Lakewood, NY passed away Saturday July 26, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Butler County, Pennsylvania, on June 29, 1970, she was the cherished daughter of Harry and Darlene (Blakely) Murtland of Summerfield, FL.
A proud 1988 graduate of Karns City Area High School in Pennsylvania, Lianne was active and spirited-performing with the Pom-Pom team and playing both basketball and volleyball. She went on to study Business Administration at Butler County Community College, laying the groundwork for a life filled with dedication and care.
Early in her career, Lianne worked for several employers, including Kerr Furniture, where she discovered her passion for interior design. Her work with the Kerrs led her to Jamestown, NY where she met and later married her devoted husband, Timothy Edborg, on May 7, 1994.
Lianne had a true gift for making spaces beautiful. She generously shared that talent with friends and clients, helping them transform their homes while curating a loving, welcoming haven for her own family. Entertaining and cooking brought her immense joy, and she had a unique way of making every guest feel like royalty. In addition to her creative pursuits, Lianne devoted much of her life to private, in-home caregiving-a role she embraced with extraordinary compassion and grace.
She was a member of Creche, MOPS at Hillcrest Baptist Church, and a recipient of Rotary International's esteemed Paul Harris Fellow. She was also a member of several churches in the area. Her devotion to Jesus Christ was evident in the way she lived her life, raised her children, and loved others.
Adventurous at heart, Lianne cherished the outdoors-camping, skiing, going to the beach, and traveling to many stunning places throughout her life. More recently, she spent meaningful time in Los Angeles with her children and "LA family," continuing to build memories and soak in the sunshine.
Surviving besides her parents of Summerfield, FL is her husband, Timothy Edborg; two children, Brielle Edborg and Christian Edborg, both of Los Angeles, CA; three siblings, Melissa (Bill) Campbell of Chicora, PA, Teresa Murtland of Erie, PA, and Lisa (Adam) Nagy of Coconut Creek, FL; and her beloved cat, Hollywood. She also leaves behind many cherished brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Spending time with her nieces and nephews was one of Lianne's greatest joys. She adored being a part of their lives and made each of them feel uniquely seen.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Chautauqua, UCLA Oncology and Hematology, and Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care for their dedicated support and compassion. And most of all, our friends and family who have supported us in our journey over the last 2 years.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family and visitation will not be observed.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the WCA Foundation – Hillman Cancer Center, the Chautauqua County Humane Society, or Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, in honor of Lianne's enduring love for both people and animals.
