Lillian T. (Zylkuski) Coco, 97, of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Andover, MA. Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, Lillian "Lil" was the daughter of the late Victor and Mary (Porchas) Zylkuski.
Lil spent many years working at Western Electric in North Andover, MA, before retiring to spend more time with her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Frank Coco, who was her best friend and soulmate. Together, they raised their children in
Methuen, MA, and later moved to their 'paradise' in Naples, FL, which became a cherished second home for the entire family.
Frank and Lil were inseparable, enjoying coastal drives, discovering the best pizza and ice cream spots, and, most importantly, spending time with their family. She was known for her sweet and kind nature, always offering a complimentary word to everyone she met, such as "you look great today." She often said, "I'm a Libra; I see both sides of a story," and with that, she never passed judgment on anyone, always providing encouragement with phrases like, "You do the best you can with what you have."
Lil had a remarkable ability to find the sunny side of life, no matter the circumstances. She enjoyed long walks on the beach, adding to her extensive shell collection, and was an avid reader, often finishing multiple books in a week. Her sharp mind loved the challenges of crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Lil was meticulous, always keeping an immaculate house where everything had its place. She didn't leave her bedroom in the morning until the bed was made, every day without exception.
Always a stylish dresser, Lil saved her money to shop at the most expensive stores when she was young. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, whether at home, on the beach, or out to dinner. She adored her grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren, who always brought a smile to her face. Lil was an excellent cook, and her eggplant dish was particularly special.
Lil's greatest talent was being a mother. Her children, Cheryl, Rose, and Frank, will tell you she was the model of motherhood-just perfect. As Lil slowed down over the years, her children had the privilege of caring for her, spending more time with Mom, reminiscing about the good old days, and cherishing those moments forever. Words cannot express how much she will be missed; there is a hole in our hearts, but she is now at peace with her soulmate, Frank, Dad, Nanu. We love you, Lil, Mom, Grammy-rest in peace.
Lil was predeceased by her brother, Eddie Zulkuski and sisters, Sadie Charron, Katherine Saratora, and Pauline.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl DiBiasio and her husband Richard, Rose Muzerall and her husband Gregory, and Frank Coco and his wife Donna; her grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, and Nick Muzerall, Michael, Andrew, and Marissa DiBiasio, and Kirsten and Bailey Coco; and her great-grandchildren, Oliver, Theo, Madeline, Grant, Isla, and Graham.
Honoring Lil's family wishes, the services, Mass, and burial will be celebrated in private.
