Lilly Valdez, a beacon of love, kindness, and humor, entered her heavenly home on November 6, 2023, in Corpus Christi, TX. Born on September 15, 1933, Lilly was a woman who lived her life with an infectious sense of humor and a heart full of love. Her life was a testament to the power of laughter, the strength of kindness, and the beauty of love.
Lilly was the cherished daughter of the late Domingo Valdez Sr. and Ascension Valdez. She was the beloved sister of Alice Cuevas, Teresa Flores, Aurora Castillo, and Delphina Lozano, all of whom preceded her in death. She was a beloved aunt to her late niece, Ester Flores, and nephew, Roy Castillo. Lilly's legacy continues through her surviving family members. Her brother, Domingo Valdez Jr. (Anita), her numerous nieces and nephews, Homer Castillo, Lamar and Sylvie Childress, Armando Valdez, Sandra Gutierrez, Sylvia Mondragon, Sonia Trejo, Oscar Esquivel, Lilly Garcia, Benny, Carlos, Yolanda, Susie, Linda, Letty, James, David, and Lisa Lozano, will carry her memory in their hearts.
Lilly was a proud graduate of Roy Miller High School. Lilly's interests were as diverse as they were delightful. She loved going to church, a testament to her unwavering faith and devotion. Watering her plants was not just a hobby, but a reflection of her nurturing spirit, her ability to foster growth and beauty in the world around her. Lunches with family were not just meals, but moments of connection, laughter, and love. Shopping was not just a pastime, but an expression of her individuality and style. Lilly's sense of humor was her signature, a gift that she generously shared with everyone she met.
Lilly Valdez was a woman of many roles - a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend. But above all, she was a woman of love, kindness, and humor. She loved deeply, was kind unconditionally, and laughed heartily. Her life was a testament to the power of these virtues, a legacy that will continue to inspire and motivate those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Lilly Valdez, your journey on earth may have ended, but your legacy lives on. Your laughter still echoes, your love still resonates, and your kindness still inspires. You have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and for that, we are forever grateful. Rest in peace, dear Lilly. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
