Linda G. Bates, 65, of Hot Springs, passed away on July 29, 2025, entering peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Horace Bates and Iva Marie (Johnson) Bates; her sister, Bernice Graves; and her nephew, Mickey Bates.
She is lovingly remembered by her her twin sister, Brinda Bates; three brothers: Earnest (Pat) Bates, Manuel (Shirley) Bates, and Ronnie (Frances) Bates; ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who were all touched by her kindness and unwavering support.
A devoted woman of faith, Linda dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She faithfully managed the church's bookkeeping and spent many years teaching Sunday school, where her love for God shone through in everything she did. She organized memorable trips-from the Memphis Zoo to the Sight & Sound Theatres in Branson-and poured her heart into planning crafts and activities that helped plant seeds of faith in young hearts. Her dedication left a lasting impact, creating cherished memories that will live on in the lives she touched. Linda was always there for her loved ones-whether it was mending a wound, sewing on a button, or simply offering a helping hand.
Linda also found joy in the simple things. She was an accomplished home cook, an avid gardener, and loved to sew. Her gentle spirit, strong faith, and selfless love will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
Pallbearers will be: Rodger Bates, Ethan Bates, Joseph Hicks, Zachary Hicks, Brandon Bates, Brayden Bates, Jim Harper, and Billy Amos.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Vicki Amos, Betsy Cox, David & Joyce Carpenter, Melody Green, Zelda Waters, Jilanna & John Caldwell, Claralene Wigley, Minnie Hanson, Junior Tedford, Tricha Hicks, and Robin Bates.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11am with Harry Bates and David Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery.
