Linda Kay Collie, 75, left this earth to be with Our Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. Linda was born on August 27, 1949, to the union of Arthur Didifer and Nettie Emmadell Jones in Topeka. Linda graduated from Highland Park High School in 1967. Right out of high school, she got her first job doing clerical work and data entry for the State of Kansas. On July 15, 1989, she married Ralph Collie, together, they brought together a blended family raising, Misti, Heather, and Shawn. Linda and Ralph were long time members of Oakland Christian Church, until it closed. They then went to Oakland Methodist Church for a long time after that. Linda was an animal lover, enjoyed crocheting, and was a phenomenal cook, her specialties were Mexican tacos, sugar cookies, and Indian bread. Linda is survived by her husband, Ralph; children, Misty, Heather, and Shawn; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, Jennifer Woodman and Amy Pope; and numerous other nieces; nephews; and cousins. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Emmandell Jones, and brother, Melvin Jones. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Burial will follow at Burlingame Community Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care or Helping Hands Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
