Linda I. Dunn, 76, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away peacefully July 23, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born July 10, 1949 in Bowling Green to the late Donald and Marian (Stevens) Dunn. She married Dallas Hammersmith and he preceded her in death.
Linda was a 1967 graduate of Bowling Green High School. She went on to attend Stautzenberger College where she obtained her Cosmetology license. Linda worked as a hairstylist but spent most of her working years in childcare at Dunn's Kiddie Kare as well as caring for her younger siblings, numerous nieces, nephews and family friends. She spent many years volunteering at Carter Park.
Linda was a sweet, sassy and dedicated mom and grandma. She had the ability to make anyone laugh with her witty humor. She loved her family immensely.
Linda enjoyed baking, cooking and swimming at the lake or pool. She enjoyed watching her granddaughters play volleyball and enjoyed watching all of her nieces and nephews play sports. She also loved catching up with friends on Facebook.
She is survived by her children Jessica Dunn Taube (Ben Mulholland) and Jamie Gonzales, grandchildren Taylor, Chezney, Andrew and Alexandria, great-granddaughter Kaliyah, siblings Steve (Becky) Dunn, Kevin Dunn, Janice Jones, Judy (Larry) Reynolds, Susie Dunn (John Dias), Tim Dunn (Monica Kirby DeLeon) and Tom (Jenny) Dunn as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Norman Jones.
Linda's family would like to thank the staff at The Willows of Bowling Green and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care and comfort they provided her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 29, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Her funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Ovarian Cancer Connection or Bowling Green Youth Baseball at Carter Park.
