Linda Lee (Dodd) Ewigman passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri. Linda was born on July 3, 1960, in Brookfield, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence Jr. and Mary Madelyn (Scott) Dodd. She was the only granddaughter and was born on her grandfather Clarence Dodd Sr.'s birthday. They shared and celebrated thirteen birthdays together. Linda was raised in the South Eagle neighborhood southwest of Brookfield. As a child, she was a member of the South Eagle Methodist Church and the South Eagle 4-H Club. She graduated from Brookfield High School and Brookfield Vocational School in 1978. On October 7, 1978, she married her high school sweetheart, Mark Ewigman of Marceline. Of this union, two sons were born: Brian Ewigman of Marceline and Eric Ewigman of Kearney, Missouri. Linda was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, the Ladies Faith Group, St. Ann's Altar Society, the Father McCartan School Prayer Partner Program, and the Ladies Eagles Auxiliary. She also volunteered with the Knights of Columbus fish fries and funeral dinners for St. Bonaventure parishioners. In 2017, Mark was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Linda became his devoted caretaker and accompanied him to three states for treatments and surgeries. When Mark's cancer changed and became rare, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota provided specialized care. Together, Linda and Mark made many trips to Rochester. In 2019, Linda was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and began her own cancer journey while continuing to care for her husband. They faced their battles with great courage and unwavering faith in God, always leaning on one another for strength. Linda was a dedicated wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She adored her three grandchildren-Garrett, Alex, and Adrienne-and loved attending all of their activities. She is survived by her sons, Brian Ewigman and wife Sandra of Marceline, Missouri, and Eric Ewigman and wife Christian of Kearney, Missouri; three grandchildren, Alex Ewigman of Marceline, and Garrett and Adrienne Ewigman of Kearney; brothers, Craig Dodd (Denise) of Parkville, Missouri, and Alan Dodd (Diane) of Kansas City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Connie Dodd, and numerous nieces, nephews, in laws, and other extended family members. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Clarence (Doris) Dodd, mother Mary Madelyn Dodd; husband, Mark; granddaughter, Ella Ewigman; brother, Greg Dodd; brother-in-law, Randy Ewigman; parents-in-law, Leo and Florence Ewigman; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Ewigman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Marceline, Missouri. Burial will follow in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, with a Rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Saving Every Victim of Linn County or St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline, Missouri.
