She was the only granddaughter and was born on her grandfather Clarence Dodd Sr.'s birthday. They shared and celebrated thirteen birthdays together. Linda was raised in the South Eagle neighborhood southwest of Brookfield. As a child, she was a member of the South Eagle Methodist Church and the South Eagle 4-H Club. She graduated from Brookfield High School and Brookfield Vocational School in 1978. On October 7, 1978, she married her high school sweetheart, Mark Ewigman of Marceline. In 2019, Linda was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and began her own cancer journey while continuing to care for her husband. They faced their battles with great courage and unwavering faith in God, always leaning on one another for strength. Linda was a dedicated wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
