Linda Lucille Forsen Fewell of Floresville, Texas went into the loving arms of the Lord on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the age of 70 years old. Linda was born on July 3, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas to Robert Alex Forsen II and Beth Mildred Brady Forsen. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert "Bobby" Alex Forsen III, and grandchildren, Katie Jones and Christifer Shoppe Jr.
Linda had adjusted to her retirement years after dedicating herself to the Transition to Work Program at the Lighthouse for the Blind where she cherished her time working with her students, planning engaging activities and relishing in their successes.
When not working, she was completely devoted to her family and friends with self-sacrificing love and passion. Linda could be found cheering loudly at the drag strip and dirt track, silently at a tennis match, digging through book bins to help create classroom libraries, leaving groceries on doorsteps when her children were sick regardless of the need or request, she never said no, with endless support and tireless devotion for her children, family, and friends. While family and friends were Linda's first love, she also enjoyed reading, traveling, sewing, crafting, teddy bears, listening to Gospel music and Willie Nelson, playing cards and a very competitive game of Yahtzee, once being titled as the Yahtzee queen for ten Yahtzee's in one game.
She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and compassionate. She was strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined her and gave her the strength to be her children's rock. Linda will be remembered for all the heart and generosity she shared with her family and friends. She truly loved each of them, and if you knew her, you knew and felt it. She cared so deeply for the people around her and made an impact on many lives. She has left us far too soon and will be forever missed and never forgotten.
In His loving arms may you be held knowing the strength you taught that "we will get through this together." Until we meet again.
Linda is survived by her children, George Jones III (Darlene), Candice Jones, Tina Czaja, and Shane Jones; grandchildren, Christa Jones, Michael Jones, Callie DeLarm (Cody), Amber Jones (Jered), Ashley Cool, Stacy Childress Jr., Ashley Wallace (Larry), Kristan Childress, and Cody Williams; numerous great-grandchildren, other family, and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life graveside service, which will be held at Floresville Masonic Cemetery at 2019 Standish Street in Floresville, Texas, on October 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The family requests any flowers and notes be sent to Alamo Funeral Chapels at 624 N Alamo Street, San Antonio, TX 78215.
