Linda Jeanne MacLeod, 72, of Charles Town, WV passed away on February 21, 2023 at WVU Medicine - J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Born December 6, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Jeanne Loughrey.
Linda is survived by her children, Clarke Stoneback (Holly) and Michael Stoneback (Stephanie Dooner), and her granddaughter Chelsea Stoneback.
Linda was a Graduate of George Washington High School (Philadelphia). She completed undergraduate work at LaSalle University and obtained her Master's Degree from Rider College. Linda had a varied career as a probation officer, real estate broker and in the profession she loved most as an English teacher in the Neshaminy School District (Langhorne, PA).
She loved to read and was an avid gardener, consistently supplying fresh vegetables to everyone in the neighborhood. Her hand-grown flowers brightened the house and the block.
Linda will be remembered as always putting others before herself. She enjoyed her weekly conversations with her granddaughter, who was the light of her life. She will be missed by her friends and family both in Bucks County, PA and in Jefferson County, WV.
Smith Funeral & Cremation Care & SFCC Crematory of Westover / Morgantown, is providing care and guidance to the family with private cremation services.
