Paul J. Dempsey, Jr of Millsboro, DE, passed away on October 2, 2025. He was 84 years old. Paul was the beloved husband of Sandra S. Dempsey with whom he had shared over 30 years of marriage. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Paul J. and Naomi Dempsey, Sr.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his loving children; Paul J. Dempsey, III and his wife Denise, Christopher M. Dempsey and his wife Mary, and Angela Richardson, Grandchildren; Darien, Ricky, Christopher, Grace, Marquese, Aminah, Yazmeen and Yuri. Paul was predeceased by his first wife, Rita E. Dempsey and sister, Jeanne Kelly.

Paul graduated from North Catholic High School, class of 1958. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked his way through night school at La Salle University, graduating in 1975. Paul retired after 45 years of service with SPS Technologies, formerly Standard Press Steel, as the leader of Quality Control. A devoted Catholic Church member, he enjoyed reading, crabbing, a cold beer or three, learning about history, cheering on the Phils and the "Iggles" and relaxing in his backyard pool.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 235 E State St, Doylestown, PA after 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 10 th , followed by his Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. His internment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's memory may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation
