Linda Darlene McBane

Linda Darlene McBane, age 74, of Mustang, passed away on April 10, 2024. She was born on June 27, 1949, to Curtis and Lavada (Williams) Eakins in Oklahoma City, OK. She later graduated from Sterling High School in 1967. In July of 1975, Linda met Weltha, nine days after meeting, the two were married. They enjoyed 48 wonderful years together. Linda spent many years as a stay-at-home mom, and she and Weltha also were foster parents for many years. So many children found a place of safety and comfort in the McBane home. Later in life, Linda would open her own cleaning business which she operated for many years.
Nana, as she was affectionately called by her family, loved her family deeply. She prided herself on caring for others and creating a loving home. She enjoyed shopping, sewing, cooking, baking, playing with the kids, hummingbirds, and flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; first husband Bill McDonald; two brothers, Wayne Eakins and Steve Eakins; sister Sharon Headley; one daughter Katy Duncan, and one great grandbaby Tristan James Hedrick.
She is survived by her husband Weltha; son Shawn McBane and wife Alicia; daughters Bilinda Davidson and husband David; Misty Tarver and husband AJ; Mary Jane Mullins and husband Ronnie; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; sisters Hootie Pierce and Doris Ann Austin and husband Mick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1-8pm on Thursday, April 11th at McNeil's Funeral Service.
Services will take place at 2pm on Friday, April 12th at McNeil's Funeral Service.
