Linda Nick Obituary
Born May 17, 1952 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Shaffer and Julia Casteel Shaffer.
She retired from Winchester Medical Center after 32+ years of service.
Linda was a member of Daisy's Chapel.
Linda loved to sing gospel music. At a very young age she started singing with her sisters, known as the Chapel Echoes. Linda then formed a group and started traveling and sang for many years with her husband, Ervin, and her nephews, Thomas Hoffmaster and Bryan Longerbeam, whom she loved like her sons. They were known as the Heritage Express. She loved the Lord, her husband and grandkids with all her heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Pereira and husband, Marco and Jennifer Wolford and husband, Shawn, and four grandchildren, Corey McDonald, Josh Wolford, Allison Wolford and Keyly Pereira.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ervin Nick, five sisters, Judy Hoffmaster, Joann Nick, Ida Wilson, Shirley Longerbeam and Susie Nick, and one brother, Jay Hawkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Thomas Hoffmaster and Pastor Danny Nick officiating. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg, WV.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 6-8 pm.
