Linda Sue Ruskamp passed away peacefully at home on November 26, 2024. She was the beloved wife of John A. Ruskamp, Jr., the loving mother of Jennifer (Patrick) Mucha and John (Christine) Ruskamp, and the loving grandma of Henry and Levi Ruskamp.
Linda grew up in Palos Park and graduated 3rd in her class at Carl Sandburg High School. She earned a BA in Finance from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. As a highly accomplished pianist, she was the recipient of many musical as well as academic awards. She worked as a budget administrator at Argonne National Laboratory before devoting time to raising a family.
Along with her husband, Linda co-founded the field of Ancient Sino-American Paleography. In retirement, she enjoyed taking numerous trips around the country for research and pleasure. She was a member of the Fort Payne Chapter, DAR and Zion Lutheran Church in Naperville. She prioritized serving others and enthusiastically gifted her musical talents as an organist and choir member.
Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Ever relying on faith, we confidently rejoice at the end of her earthly journey.
Visitation and interment will be private.
