On Tuesday, October 7, 2025 Linda Jean Siple of Colchester, was called to be with her husband Kim.
Linda was born on April 19, 1949, to Gerald and Pauline Shortsleeves. Linda grew up in Burlington, graduating from Burlington High School.
Linda raised three children as a hard working single parent. She worked for many years at Digital Equipment, Showtime Video, and IBM. Linda had many hobbies. She loved traveling, spending time with her family, playing Bingo, Bowling, spending time in her yard, caring for her pets (especially Bailey & Duke).
Linda is so very loved by her entire family. She leaves behind her oldest daughter Melinda and her husband Brian Fuller, who dedicated their time to help her navigate her last few years on this earth. Linda also leaves behind her grandchildren who she adored and spent so many wonderful moments with. Three older granddaughters, Tinika Lau, Nyokalynn Fuller, and Kirsten Fuller; her grandson, Alexander Fuller; a great-grandson Kaiden Reilly; her great-granddaughter Eliza Fuller, and a very special niece Kellie Spence. Linda was not only close with her immediate family but with her extended family as well and had many cherished friendships throughout her years.
Linda also leaves behind her youngest granddaughter Emma-Jean Abair, whom she got the honor of raising and spending the most time with, her best friend.
She was predeceased by her parents Gerald and Pauline Shortsleeves, her daughter, Karen Abair, her son, Jeffrey Abair, and her husband Kim Siple, a man who Linda selflessly and tirelessly took amazing care of after he sustained multiple traumatic brain injuries.
We invite you to join us in celebrating the beautiful life Linda lived on Friday, October 17 from 10am-12pm at LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00pm at Holy Cross Church in Colchester. Burial will take place at a later date.
