Linda Pauline Sisson, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 69. She was a native of Memphis, Tennessee, born on June 14, 1954, to her loving parents, the late Charles Rufus Sisson and Ernestine Huddleston Sisson.
Linda is the beloved mother of Trae Bauman; adored grandmother of Yuri Sisson Waddell; and caring sister of Wanda Sisson Bruce. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.
Linda graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor's in education. She had a career as an eighth grade math teacher until retiring and continued to tutor from home. Linda touched the lives of many students during her years teaching. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing Nintendo, and gardening. Linda treasured the time she spent with family, friends, and her pets. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda, who had a passion for social justice, leaves us with these wise words, "Remember that being kind is as easy as being cruel."
