Linda Susan Van Den Bergh, born on November 7, 1958, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2023, in Bonita Springs, Florida at the young age of 64. She was a remarkable individual who made a significant impact in both her professional and personal life.
Linda's career as a Human Resource Manager spanned over 28 years. She began her journey at Inovo Inc, where she dedicated 14 years of her life to the company. Her exceptional skills and dedication led her to Azimuth Technology LLC in 2012, where she continued to thrive as a Human Resource Manager. Linda's commitment to her work was evident in her management of over 260 employees, whom she cherished and supported wholeheartedly.
While Linda found fulfillment in her career, her true joy came from her family and friends. She and her soulmate, John, deeply loved each other, and together they created cherished memories in Florida and at the cabin in Georgia. Retirement plans were in motion, with Linda and John eagerly awaiting the next chapter of their lives together.
Linda's genuine kindness, selflessness, and generosity were her defining qualities. Within the workplace, she was regarded as a second mother, a confidant, and a friend. Her door was always open to anyone in need. Linda's unwavering commitment to others never faltered, even during her own health battles. John and Linda were primary care givers for her mother and father. She was a source of strength, compassion, and support for all who knew her. She lived a life of humility and never sought recognition or reward. Linda's consistent loyalty and authenticity touched the lives of countless individuals.
Linda is preceded in death by her mother Bridget Matakonis, and her father Albert Matakonis.
Linda is survived by her true love and soulmate, John Ruggiero, her sister Debra Westcott (Chuck) of Somers Point, NJ, Richard Matakonis (Debra) of Palm Bay, FL, Thomas Matakonis (Donna) of Red Lion, PA, and Steve Matakonis (Rina) of Abington, PA. Linda leaves behind many special nieces and nephews that she loved deeply. She also leaves countless friends whose lives she enriched.
The loss of Linda is deeply felt by all who loved her. Her warm presence, genuine care, and boundless love will be profoundly missed. We were blessed to have known such a beautiful soul, and her memory will forever be cherished.
May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her legacy of compassion and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Carini's Pizzeria, 24611 Production Cir. Bonita Springs, Florida 34135 from 4-7PM, with lite fare provided.
Everyone is invited to come together to share stories and memories as we mourn the passing of an amazing woman gone to soon but also celebrate and honor the life lived and the lives touched by Linda S. Vandenbergh.
