Linda June Wagner was born March 9, 1951 and passed away on February 20, 2023. She lived the vast majority of her almost 72 years in Holden, Louisiana on a plot of land surrounded by family. She married Gail Wagner on September 27, 1968 and they were together until he passed just a couple of months prior to their 50th anniversary. She was well known and loved in her community; she had a singular ability to slip into almost any group and become the life of the party. In later years, she became caretaker to her dying mother and took her younger brother Bubba to his doctor appointments and watched Saints football with him. She also loved to go places with the rest of what she called "the three amigos," including her sister Mary and brother-in-law Wayne. Her greatest love, however, was with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Bennie Wagner and Malinda Perrilloux (John); her grandchildren Mallory Payne (Kris), Sarah Wagner, Joanna Wagner, and Gunnar Wagner; her great-grandson Maverick Mark Ramirez; her sister Mary Bertrand (Wayne); her brother Gerald Sullivan (Penny); and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents Murrel and Ruby Sullivan, her husband Gail Wagner, her sister Rose Ann Stewart, her brother Gary "Bubba" Sullivan, and her grandson Alvin "Hunter" Ramirez. Her pallbearers will be Justin Bertrand, Kerry Bertrand, Shawn Bertrand, John Green, Josh Green, Kevin Paille, Maverick Ramirez, and Kyle Wainwright.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 12012 Hwy 190 W. Hammond, LA 70403 on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Glynn Bertrand will officiate with interment to follow at Courtney Cemetery in Holden.
