Our beautiful mother, Linda Marie Wittenberg (Keller), age 61, of Marshfield, WI, tragically passed away on May 8th, 2025 at Marshfield Medical Center shrouded by her daughters and grandchildren. She left this earth to rest peacefully with the Lord.
Linda was born on December 27, 1963, in Prairie du Sac to Lawrence and Sandra Keller. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, even complete strangers. Despite past medical trauma, Linda maintained an unwavering positive attitude and strength, brightening every room she entered. She enjoyed socializing with friends, listening to music, and generally having a good time. Above all, Linda cherished her four daughters and seven grandchildren, taking immense pride in sharing their accomplishments with anyone who would listen.
Linda enjoyed living life to the fullest. She loved spending summers up north at her permanent campsite. While she loved muskey and crappie fishing, the calls of the loons held a special place in her heart. Linda was truly a free spirit who appreciated the beauty found in life's simple pleasures. Other hobbies of Linda's early life included bowling in a league, flower gardening, listening to classic country music, attending Hodag among other country music festivals, and camping.
Linda worked as a CNA for about 18 years at Edgewater Haven and Our House Senior Living. She was passionate about caring for others, possessing a special compassion. Those who knew her well recognized her love and grace. Linda had an astonishing work ethic, working multiple jobs and supporting her two oldest daughters as a single mother early in her life. She ensured her daughters never went without. Until she was admitted into the hospital she called her daughters every day to express her pride and love for them. Linda loved wholeheartedly and possessed a soul that could alleviate pain and bring smiles.
Relationships were complicated, with mental health and medical implications. Linda faced much darkness in her life but never failed to see the bright light at the end of the tunnel. Linda always found something funny, sometimes in the worst ways (it's okay to laugh here), in any situation. Linda carried the weight of the emotional trauma her daughters endured but never let it affect her love for them. After three brain surgeries and past childhood and adult trauma, she can finally rest eternally. Linda will be missed by so many, and losing her will leave an emptiness that nobody can heal.
Linda is survived by her mother, Sandra Keller; her four children, Amanda (Gregory) Richard, Melissa Rudie, Samantha (Adrian/Android) Cholaku, and Kayla (Alex Pflager) Wittenberg; her grandchildren, Remington Rudie, Rylan Rudie, Peyten Richard, Presten Richard, Odessa Richard, Olivia Richard, Lylah Garski, Daymien Cholaku, and Zana Cholaku; her sisters, Janet (Todd) Bruhn and Rhonda (Greg) Keller; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Keller, and her brothers, Dale Keller and Steven Keller.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Family Center in Wisconsin Rapids. Together we can be Linda's voice to support victims and survivors today.
Her daughters would like to express a special thank you to Linda's case manager, Sara Thomer, with Inclusa; her care workers with BU4U (an extensive thank you to Cindy); as well as all of the medical and surgical teams at Marshfield Medical Center and the Marshfield Police Department (Detective Mack Scheppler) for their continued hard work and support during this devastating time.
Revelation 21:4: "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Rest easy Linda, you are finally free. I'm blessed to have been part of your journey I have seen people come and go, but each of them loved you so. A true testament of your soul. I extend condolences and sympathy to all that knew Linda. To know her, was to love her. We'll continue to make sure you're heard!

I was a caregiver for Linda. Although she could be as stubborn as the day is long, she truly was one of the most caring individuals I have ever known. Always making sure her friends didn't go without. I will remember our outings to Perkins, her always talking about her girls and grandchildren and how much she loved them. Rest easy Linda. You will be missed by many.
