Linda R. Young (nee Allen), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the age of 80. Devoted wife of 43 years to the late H. Thomas “Tom” Young; cherished mother of Karl Young, Kristine (Lewis) Dickinson, Kurt (Sara Bearden) Young, and Keith Young; adoring grandmother of Dashel and Alec Dickinson; beloved sister to Ernest Allen; loving aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend to many.
Born in 1945 to the late R. Parks and Dorothy Allen, Linda graduated from Ritenour High School in 1963. She went on to attend Hickey College and later worked as a legal secretary at a prestigious law firm in St. Louis. Her striking beauty led her to enjoy a brief career as a print model and muse for many art students at Washington University. She met her late husband, Tom, in high school, and together they raised four children.
Linda delighted everyone in her presence with her thoughtfulness and generosity. She was an expert in the love language of gift giving. Whether personalized, practical, or humorous, her gifts were always rooted in love. She kept her friends and family close by sending beautiful greeting cards for every occasion.
Linda had a well-known passion for cats and a fondness for kitten-themed treasures which adorned her house. Her enormous heart, sweet nature, and genuine kindness will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to be loved by her.
