Lisa Carol Insinger, age 57, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away unexpectedly due to a tragic accident on Monday, January 20th, 2025. Lisa was born in Philadelphia, PA to Sylvia (Vavala) and William Insinger and was raised in Bensalem, PA. She attended Archbishop Wood High School, but after moving to the Shore for her final year of high school, Lisa graduated from Holy Spirit High School. Lisa continued her higher education at Villanova University. After graduating, Lisa then made her way to Wilmington, DE, where she resided for over 30 years.
Lisa was a loving wife, sister, aunt, great aunt, and amazing cat mom. She was a very kind, loving, and generous person. She worked for many years at Verizon Co. where she made lasting relationships with her colleagues over the last 25 years.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Forrest; her sister, Leanora Insinger; her nieces, Danielle Insinger Schaffer (Jerry) and Eden Lazorko (Terence); her nephew, Jeremiah Lazorko; her great nephew, Nolan Schaffer; and her loving in-laws. Along with her parents, Sylvia and William Insinger, Lisa was also preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Simon.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, February 7th, 2025 from 10AM-11AM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 1900 Delaware Ave., Wilmington, DE 19806. A memorial service will begin at 11AM.
