Rose-Neath Funeral Home - Southside - ShreveportLisa M. Sager McCarty-Jackson was born on December 22, 1960, in London, KY. She was 64 years old when Jesus called her home on August 8, 2025, in Keithville, LA. Her Memorial Service will be at Life Church, 2222 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, La 71108, on Sunday August 31, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Although she grew up in Indianapolis, IN, she made her home in Shreveport, LA.
Lisa was a widow of two veterans, Malcolm J. McCarty (1985) and her soul mate, Robert “Bob” Jackson (2020). She was a natural leader and always found herself helping others become who she knew they could be. Her default disposition was always set to kindness, she loved deeply, she lived fully, and she laughed often. Lisa always had a song in her heart and loved singing. If she told you she was praying for you, she was and believe me when I say that God heard her prayers. Her passion was building her family one new friend at a time. She took great joy in being a mother and a grandmother and was a beacon of light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Malcolm J. McCarty, and her beloved husband Robert “Bob” Jackson. Her father Frederick E. Sager Sr., and her shared daughter, Ashley Smith.
Lisa is survived and missed by her parents Bernice F. Harvey and James A. Harvey; her children and shared children, Matthew W. McCarty, Marlaina T. McCarty, Lauren Jackson, Paul Jackson, John Daniel Jackson, Brooklyn Jackson, Keely Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, and Amber Smith; her grandchildren and shared grandchildren, Adonijah McCarty, Torin Pawlikowski, Connor Hunt, Riley Harris, Bryce Harris, and Merit Malloy; her siblings and shared siblings, Frederick Sager, Jr., Gerald Sager, Brian Sager, Karen H. McAllister, Pattie Harvey-Courtney, Doug Harvey, Greg Harvey, and Anthony “Tony” Harvey. She also leaves behind many, many other family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
