Lisa Rene Montgomery

Lisa Rene Montgomery, 56 of McQueeney, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was born on November 27, 1965, in Nixon to Frieda Beth "Betty" Barlow and Benny Louis York.
Although her most cherished occupation was undoubtedly loving mother and grandmother, she worked various jobs eventually becoming a nurse assistant for the latter years of her life. She treated each and every patient like family, a value that lives on in both of her children. She will be remembered as the best cook, Mom, and Nana although she would modestly deny all three.
Lisa is survived by her daughter, Brittany DuPree and husband Randall, son, Lance Montgomery and wife Riley, sisters, Penny Cardwell, Kathey Barnhill and husband Marvin, Tina Yaws, and Jodi York, brothers, Benny York, Jr. and wife Tammy, and James York and wife Laurie, 2 adoring grandchildren, Elliot Hill and Randall Rhett DuPree, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Linda Collins.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow beginning at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the: GRMC Hospice, 1346 East Walnut Street, Seguin, Texas 78155.
