A celebration of the life of Lisa Mossberger, 60, of Athens will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens with Pastor Joe Warren officiating.
Lisa passed away on May 21, 2024, in Athens.
Melisa Louise Mossberger was born December 22, 1963, in Athens, Texas the daughter of Daniel W. Slaton and Margaret Ann (Humphries). She graduated from Athens High School, went on to attend Tyler Junior College where she graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist and later taught at the TJC Dental Hygiene Clinic. Lisa loved spending time traveling, attending baseball and softball games for her son and her niece and nephew and loving on her dogs. Lolli was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years Brent Mossberger of Athens; her son Daniel Mossberger and wife Kirstee of Conroe; her grandchildren, Brooks Mossberger and Dani Kae Mossberger; her sister Sandy Foster of Chandler; her nephew Brandon Foster and wife Chrissy of Magnolia; her niece Rachel Robertson and husband Matt of Athens and four great nieces, Braley Foster, Clarke Foster, Tessie Tuckness and London Tuckness.
Honorary pallbearers will be her Tribe- Shannon Traxson, Cindy Bendy, Katha Lawyer, Angela Wagoner, Janet Green, Tez Warren, and Christy Warnock.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 12-1:30 pm at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in her memory to your favorite Mental Health Charity or your favorite animal shelter.
