Lisa Marie Sansivero (Scheeler), age 60, of Blackstone passed away in Brigham and Women's Hospital on September 13 after battling a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Frank Rocco Sansivero. The two met while working at a shoe store, kept in touch even after changing jobs, and eventually got together and fell in love.
Born on October 3, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John Scheeler and Ann Marie Scheeler (Catti), who currently resides in Florida.
In addition to her husband and mother, Lisa is survived by her children: Emily Ann Sansivero-Wiley and her husband Matt of Gardener, and Nicholas Edward Sansivero of Blackstone, as well as her brother John Richard Scheeler and his wife Ana of Hubbardston.
Lisa worked in payroll and accounting for Potpourri in Medway and then Wilde in Holliston. She enjoyed her work and the people she worked with, forming fast friendships in many of her roles.
She enjoyed weekend excursions with her husband, as they explored Massachusetts and Rhode Island to hunt down the best breakfast nooks, while enjoying boat rides around Cape Cod and the lakes of Massachusetts together. She loved to try new crafty hobbies that included scrapbooking, crochet, and jewelry making. She especially loved solving jigsaw puzzles and playing card games like Uno or Skip-Bo, watching favorite movies like The Emperor's New Groove, and stand-up comedians John Pinette, Jeff Dunham, and Sebastian Maniscalco.
Most of all, she cherished time with her family.
Lisa was a loving wife, a dedicated mom, an aunt, and a daughter. She was a nurturer.
Lisa was the ingredient that turned a house into a home. She was the welcome that made a guest feel like family. And she enjoyed seeing her family at the table when gathered to enjoy good food, talk, and laughter. She was a caring soul; always giving of love and concern and compassion.
Lisa was a typical Italian mom (without the accent), keeping the family nurtured; whether with food or fervor. And she wouldn't rest unless your plate was full.
Lisa deserved better, but she fought the good fight. She beat cancer, and resisted death, until the end. Now, with her soul in heaven, her spirit can rest, as the plates of all who knew her are full with the joy and loving memories that will forever be remembered.
