Lisa Ann Sarazin, 61, of Portland, Oregon, formerly of Nyssa, Oregon, passed away on March 6, 2025, while vacationing at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Born on March 3, 1964, in Nyssa, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Dr. David W. and Barbara Sarazin.
Lisa graduated from Nyssa High School (Class of 82) and went on to earn an associate degree from Treasure Valley Community College. She also earned an associate degree in Occupational Therapy from Mount Hood Community College (MHCC). Lisa dedicated over 35 years of her life to caring for others as an Occupational Therapist, at Adventist Health Hospital, Portland, Oregon, where she was known for her compassion and dedication to her patients. Those who worked with Lisa described her as, "an incredible, loving, gentle, generous woman. She truly knew and welcomed everyone with kindness and warmth. She had a way of making people feel seen and valued."
In her free time, Lisa enjoyed camping, cycling, reading, traveling abroad and watching movies. She enjoyed riding her road bike in the Reach the Beach event every year to benefit the American Lung Association. She had a passion for nature and loved spending time outdoors and traveling with her travel partners. Lisa was an involved active member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Church, Portland, Oregon.
Lisa was a devoted loyal sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed a part time job as an usher with Portland's performing arts centers (P5), a job she obtained while attending MHCC and held until her death. She had a great sense of humor and was so kind to others, she was one of the greatest people with a positive caring attitude.
Lisa is survived by her sisters Amy Sarazin Martinez, and Julie Sarazin, her brother Todd Sarazin (Melanie), nieces Sara, Katie, and Tara, and nephews Ty, and Michael, and her partner Chris Hagland. Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, David and Barbara, a sister Nanci, as well as her brother-in-law, Oscar Martinez. Lisa will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering support for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on May 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Church, 147 NW 19th Ave. Portland, Oregon 97209. Graveside services will be held on May 17, 2025, at 11:00 am, Hilltop Memorial Cemetery, 702 Hilltop Cemetery Rd. Nyssa, Oregon 97913.
