Lisa Weiland passed away September 3, 2025 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO. Lisa Rene Weiland was born May 27, 1965 to Donald and Patricia (Koelliker) Nigus in Hiawatha, KS.

Lisa attended Midway-Denton High School, Class of 1983 and Vo-Tech, 1984. She married Terry Weiland on August 1, 1987 in Bendena, KS where they lived since 1983.

Lisa worked at Yellow Freight in Corporate Collections for 23 years in St. Joseph, MO and Topeka, KS, AgJunction as Executive Administrator in Hiawatha, KS for almost 8 years, and Mosaic Life Care as an Administrative Assistant in St. Joseph, MO for almost 9 years total.

She is preceded in death by her mother Patricia Nigus, son James Frances Weiland, Father-in-law Galen Weiland and numerous aunts and uncles.

Survivors include Husband Terry, Daughters Terra (Matt) Jones, Topeka, KS, Bereanna (Houston) Cluck, Bendena, KS, Son Cody (Silvia) Weiland, Bendena, KS, Father Donald Nigus, Highland, KS, Siblings: Lori Snavley, Wathena, KS, Lynn Rupe, Wathena, KS, Phillip (Tamara) Nigus, Bonner Springs, KS, Mother-in-law Ruth Weiland, Bendena, KS, Sister-in-law Teresa Jones, Bendena, KS, Grandchildren: Grayson and Maverick Jones, Topeka, KS, Carter and Alex Weiland, Bendena, KS and Bobbie and Kase Cluck, Bendena, KS. Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Memorial contributions on behalf of Lisa Weiland may be made to: Lisa Weiland Memorial Fund send in care of Bendena State Bank, Bank of Highland or Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Highland.

A Celebration of Lisa's life is planned for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland, KS with Mark Twombly and Angie Cluck officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-5 Sunday afternoon, after 10 a.m. Monday September 8, where the family will meet from 5 until 7 that evening.
