Funeral services celebrating the life of Logan Wayne Greer, 30, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Trinity Heights Baptist Church, 3820 Old Mooringsport Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2022, at Trinity Heights Baptist Church. Burial to follow the service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 140 Par Road 710, Coushatta, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Dan Lay.
Logan was born September 12, 1992, in Bossier City, Louisiana, to Loftin Greer and Cindy Kennedy Greer, and he passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Logan was born and raised in North Louisiana and graduated high school from C.E. Byrd in 2011, after which he became an EMT and then a committed contractor for RRAC, where he has worked for the past several years. Logan was more than a devoted husband and father; his world began and ended with Maura and Lexington. He married the love of his life before his family and friends in 2019 and became a faithful, committed father in 2021. Logan, Maura, and Lexington have been residents and active community members in North Shreveport for several years. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends, to whom he was extremely loyal. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved nothing more than enjoying nature and traveling with his wife and friends. Logan was hard-working, but also fun-loving and was rarely seen without his infectious smile and laughter. The world will not be the same without his god-fearing, family-loving spirit, and his wife, son, family, and friends will feel his loss and presence in their lives forever.
Logan is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Franklin Kennedy, and Lloyd Greer. He is survived by his wife, Maura Pellerin Greer; son, Lexington Wayne Greer; parents, Loftin Greer and Cindy Kennedy Greer; sister, Ciarra Greer; grandmothers Bonita Kennedy, and Martha Greer; brothers-in-law, Terry Walls III, Jacob Pellerin, Ian Walls, Michael Harris, and Jared Garland; sisters-in-law, Ashton Harris, and Brooke Pellerin; mother-in-law and fathers-in-law, Christine and Terry Walls II and Mark Pellerin; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; and godchildren, Liam and Evelyn Dunnigan.
Honoring Logan as pallbearers will be Ian Walls, Terry Walls III, Jacob Pellerin, Jared Garland, Christian Greer, Derek Dunnigan, Cameron Watson, and Michael Harris. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Loftin Greer, Mark Pellerin, Terry Walls II, and Lexington Greer.
"Because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence." 2 Corinthians 4:14

I am so very sorry to hear of Logan´s passing. I´m shocked & saddened. Logan was a light for the Lord & that light shined through in everything he did. As a parent, sister, & wife there is nothing worse than
Logan leaving this earth. We all know he is up in heaven with his Lord & Savior, but the pain of him passing is overwhelming. It´s been a while since I saw Logan. It was in Brookshire´s when this handsome young man walked up to me & asked, "Do you remember me?" He had a magnificent smile and an incredibly sweet face. I said, "Of course I do, Logan!" He had grown so tall, about a foot & a half since I had last seen him. It was then that he told me that he was going to be an EMT for the Fire Department. I have no doubt that Logan positively touched & helped improve so many lives. It was obvious that he had Jesus in his heart & a deep desire to help others & improve their lives. He was an inspiration & he will be missed. 30 year olds are not supposed to die. He had so much life left to live. I am so, so sorry. I´ll be praying for his precious family for a very long time. God bless you all.
