Lois McPherson-Enga, 77, of Indianola, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. Lois was born in Stockton, MO and moved to Indianola with her family where she graduated from Indianola High School. She married Bill and with this marriage had two daughters.
She enjoyed selling real estate and continued that career for many years. She owned and operated the Frontier Motel, and worked in car sales becoming a finance manager for several car dealerships, until she retired. In her free time, she enjoyed going to casinos to play slots, Knoxville races, and family reunions. She loved all animals, but her dogs held a special place in her heart.
Lois is survived by daughter Ginger (Jason) Mrzena, grandsons Jaxson (Simone- Audrey Spizzirri) and Jay (Ariana) Mrzena, and great-granddaughter Emersyn, granddaughter Jadyn Mrzena and great-grandson BraeVeonni; daughter Fonda (Bryan) Pollpeter and granddaughter Ireland (Jake Veach) Pollpeter; brother, Larry; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Carl Rubin Turner, mother Georgia Myrtle (Dill) Turner, brothers Carl J Turner and Danny W Turner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials in Lois's memory may be sent to the Kiya Koda Humane Society.
