Lois Elaine Geiger, of Beehive Homes of Duluth, received the call of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 6, 2023 (Epiphany) to enter into her eternal home. Her life was defined by her relationship with Christ, and she lived out her faith in her commitment to 72 years of marriage, raising three children, and serving others. Lois will always be remembered as a kind, generous, and loving woman. She was born on July 3, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married June 21, 1947. She grew her faith in God and worshiped in a Lutheran church for many decades. She adapted readily to new environments, as her husband, Ralph held management positions in Wisconsin, followed by Illinois, and finally Texas. While in Illinois, she worked as a secretary, beginning at the time when their third child began attending grade school. She learned the true meaning of "family" as she embraced neighbors and members of her church no matter where she had rooted. In August 2000, Lois and Ralph moved to Superior to be near their daughter and son-in-law. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, two daughters, Doreen and Susie, her brother, Warren, as well as her parents. She is survived by her son, Guy (Pam), daughter, Dianne (Larry), bonus daughters, Diana Machones and Teresa Glasscock (Jim) and bonus son Mitch (Jana) Johnson. She is also survived by her beloved nephews and nieces. She embraced being a loving and devoted grandmother to Larry's two children, Molly, and Matt Brooke.
Visitation and funeral services will be conducted at Christ Lutheran Church, 320 N. 28th Street in Superior, WI on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the service to follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Kirk Shield officiating.
The family extends their profound gratitude to Beehive Homes, Solvay Hospice House, and Gentiva Hospice for the exceptional care given to Lois in her final time on earth. A special thank you to her personal caregiver of six years from Home Instead and their amazing team.
