Lois Joy Obituary Hagerstown, MD Lois Jean Joy, 86, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Homewood at Williamsport.
She was born on May 18, 1938, in Berkeley Springs, WV to the late James Luther and Wava Geraldine (Corbett) Hoopengardner.
Lois was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She was of the Christian Faith.
Lois worked at the Sheraton Inn in Hagerstown, MD for most of her life until her retirement.
She loved her flowers and gardening, quilting and crafts.
Lois loved her family and always made sure her family and friends were taken care of. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings.
She is survived by her sons Ramon T. "Randy" Joy, Jr. (Lena) and James E. "Jimmy" Joy (Crystal); granddaughter Stevie Joy; great grandchildren Ayden and Karlynn; brothers James L. Hoopengardner and David L. Hoopengardner (Kathy); numerous nieces, nephews, and many other close family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Patricia Hovermale and Shirley Garner; brothers Gary Hoopengardner and Richard Hoopengardner.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Douglas Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Monday from 10:00 11:00 am.
Graveside services will be held at Greenway Cemetery Berkeley Springs, WV on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
