On February 19, 2025, Lois Edna Ned passed away at the age of 95. She was born September 20, 1929, near Ft. Cobb, OK. She was the second of six children born to C.L. and Elsie Jones. She graduated from Broxton High School at age 16 and then moved with a girlfriend to Oklahoma City. There, she met the love of her life, Aubrey V. Ned, and they were married May 21, 1949. Together they made Midwest City their home, raising two boys and one girl.
Lois was a homemaker and kept busy with her children. She loved being a den mother to her sons. Her many hobbies were sewing, crocheting, ceramics, and country western dancing. She also would make the occasional trip to the casino. Lois excelled playing golf and even scored 2 holes in 1. Aubrey and Lois enjoyed many years traveling together, golfing and dancing before his death in 1995. She also kept busy doing crossword puzzles, word search, reading, and jigsaw puzzles.
Lois especially enjoyed her time at the Midwest City Senior Center, attending exercise classes, Bingo and line dancing. She had a repertoire of line dances and was happy to teach others. She recently enjoyed a 95th birthday celebration given by her line dance class.
A tough spirit, Lois was able to weather the many challenges that arose. She loved life and especially her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey; her son, Larry; and her parents.
Lois is survived by her son, Brandon Ned (Lee Ann) and daughter, Inga Sprowls; her grandchildren, Matthew Ned (Kim), Ashley Ousley (Ryan), Karie McGavock, Allison Cole (Trey), and Danny Ned; her great-grandchildren, Abby Ned, Hudson and Cooper Hull, Samantha Ousley, and Shea and Sunny Cole; and her sister, Patricia Howard (Jack).
Viewing will be held all day Sunday with family attending from 2pm to 4pm.
